Those who enjoy travel do it for a variety of reasons: experience other cultures, view great art, enjoy great food, or observe beauty in a foreign place. For me, it’s the last one and photography is the tool I choose to observe, record, and amplify what I find to be most beautiful about a place. But the value in any of this is lost if not shared and that’s what this website is for. I’ve got lots of travel photographs, more each year, and I’ve concluded that this simple website is the simplest way to share them. I prefer this approach to placing most of this on Instagram or Facebook.

You will find galleries (collections) of images from recent trips and I will add to them as I travel further or get motivated to add photos from past trips. I also like to collect my best shots into books so they won’t get lost, and I’m sharing some of those books here too in eBook (PDF) form. You are welcome to download those and look at your leisure.

Galleries: Click on a location in the “Galleries” dropdown menu for a scrolling view of images from that location. Scroll by swiping up/down, using the up/down keys, or right side scrollbar. If you click/touch an image, a slideshow will open that auto-advances through images in the gallery. How that works depends a bit on your device:

  • Tablet or Phone: Swipe left/right or use arrows on images to change slides. You can also enlarge the slides to full screen with 2 fingers. Either action pauses the slideshow. Use the toolbar to restart it. Close the slideshow by touching the X in the toolbar or on the image. The slideshow images are really tiny when you hold the device sideways, but you can make them full screen with 2 fingers!
  • Touch Screen Laptop: Same as Tablet/Phone, except enlarging the image with 2 fingers works only temporarily. The image will snap back when you let go.
  • Non-touch Laptops and Desktops: Scroll the main gallery with the mouse wheel, up/down keys, or the scrollbar. Use arrows in the slideshow to advance slides. Moving the cursor over any slide will pause the slideshow. Move it outside the image to resume or use the toolbar aat top.

Books: There are several large photo books you are welcome to download in PDF format. The eBooks load onto the screen when you select one. They take time to load and are displayed as in a normal PDF viewer. Follow instructions are on the eBook pages to optimize the view, but it’s best to just download them.

Home: To return to the homepage (this page) at any time touch the logo at upper left or the website title at top.

I can’t emphasize enough that everything looks a lot better on a larger screen. If you have one use it. If you have a tablet or phone, turn them to landscape mode for the best views (use your fingers!)

I’ve added a signup page which I hope you will use. Those who sign up will get an occasional email when I make a significant addition. Whether you sign up or not, please leave a comment as I have no other way of knowing that you were here!
